Orphan smiles - Drawing exhibition by Nasy Radet at Equinox, Phnom Penh

Nasy Radet is a charming young Khmer woman from the city of Kampong Cham.

She has been drawing as a hobby since she was 10 years old and will display her art for the first time, at Equinox on May 1st 2009.

The exhibition will feature a serie of 40 pencil drawings representing things and people she sees in her everyday's life.

She decided to title this exhibition "Orphan smiles" as she is willing to use all the benefits from the exhibition to help a group of orphans and children from poor families of Memot village, Kampong cham province.

She has been helping out these kids for the last 3 years with simple things like teaching hygiene, Khmer history and Khmer traditional dancing. She decided to go further and raise some funds with her art to provide them some material help like school books, clothes and food.

Come to discover the work of this amazing young lady on Friday, May 1st, 2009 at 7pm
