POWER CROSSING - Khiang H. Hei

Cambodian–American artist, Khiang H. Hei, is primarily concerned with contemporary social, cultural and political matters relating to Southeast Asia and how this intersects with his own personal history and experiences.
Khiang has decided to leave New York City to return to live in Phnom Penh. Following years of travels and photography, he is creating new artwork in new genres. Khiang feels that in order to go forward, he has to go back and redefine his aesthetic.
Khiang has always been fascinated with how underdeveloped countries organize their electric power lines. He has taken images in India, Vietnam and several other countries.
